On Wednesday 1 July 2015, at Le Tank: Claudia de Almeida, will present her redesign of Wired, Real Simple magazine and few others. Henrik Kubel, type designer, will discuss the New Rail Alphabet projet (with Margaret Calvert) and his custom fonts for the New York Times magazine. Meet them for the first time in Paris: two incredible designers!
The TypeParis evening Talks (in english) open its doors at 19:00 at le Tank, Paris.
Each Wednesday: two speakers + one facilitator
Each attendee will receive a free tote-bag full of goodies: type specimens, brochures, note-book, stickers and so on! Sponsors corners, Type&Paris type design program attendees meet up, and various attractions planned, as well as dishes and drinks.
Our Talks will be given in English (by our international guests speakers) as they will be livestream. Meanwhile, as the TypeParis Talks are organized in Paris, France, most of attendees will be Parisians. Le Français sera largement employé par les participants lors de l’inscription et des échanges nombreux durant la soirée.

Claudia de Almeida
Claudia de Almeida is an award winning Art Director, graphic design instructor and lover of all things related to letterforms. She has BFA in Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts in New York City where she has also taught.
Claudia worked for nearly 10 years as a designer and Art Director in New York before moving to San Francisco in 2013 to serve as Design Director at WIRED.
In 2012, Claudia redesigned Real Simple Magazine, marking the beginning of her design studio with WIRED pal Margaret Swart. Now, Claudia spends her time doing projects she loves, between San Francisco, New York, Seattle and anywhere great projects take her.
Henrik Kubel is partner in London based design and typography office A2/SW/HK + A2-TYPE. He has received a fair amount of industry awards most recently a D&AD Yellow Pencil 2014, Tokyo Type Directors Club Type Award 2015 and a Typeface award from TDC in New York 2015. In February 2015 he was awarded the prestigious Knud V Engelhardt Award from The Danish Museum of Art & Design.
Kubel has given lectures for many organizations and conferences amongst other: AGI Open lecture, São Paulo, August 2014; Typo Berlin, May 2013; St Bride Library, London, eye Magazine ‘Type Tuesday’, June 2013; ATypI Annual Type Conference in Amsterdam, October 2013 and Type Directors Club in NYC, November 2013.
