The idea of coming to TypeParis18 was to learn the most possible about typography by creating a text font. My brief was based on this objective, plus also the purpose to learn more about poetry. I must say I did not learn anything about this last topic because it was already too much information with typeface design.

Because I have always liked the ambience of the nineteenth century in Europe but mostly in France, I was lean to acquire this bohemian atmosphere of this era. On the other hand, I like the sensibility of some famous french writers and poets, such as Charles Baudelaire, Guillaume Apollinaire, Arthur Rimbaud among with some painters such like Monet, Degas, Braque and Picasso who are the creators of cubism, even though they are from a more early twentieth century years.

At the visit to Typofonderie library, Jean François lend me a book from that time, the name of the book was Les Quinze Joyes de Marriage, Second Edition de la Bibliothèque publique de Rouen. Chez P. Jannet, Libraries, 1857.

From there I started to scan and do a revival with the help pf TypeParis crew.

I was able to finish a whole set for the Regular version, and almost the bold version completed. Later on I would like to create an Italic version as well as a Small Caps.
