Julie Soudanne is a French type designer based in Paris. Since May 2018 she has run jli Type Studio, creating custom typefaces for brands in the fields of luxury, gastronomy, culture, and sport. Moreover, she is working on personal retail typeface projects and she published recently in 2023 at Lift Type her first family called Ginka!
She shares her know-how by teaching at TypeParis since 2019, and since 2022 at CFI Campus Fonderie de l’Image in the DCDG Directeur de Création en Design Graphique master's degree. She also led workshops for National Superior Art Schools (École Duperré, Ensaama Olivier de Serres, HEAR Strasbourg).
The 3-week type design course starts on 5 April and ends 24 April 2027.
After 10 years in Paris, we reinvent our type design programme. We go from 6 weeks to 3 weeks, while maintaining the fundamentals that make TypeParis’ reputation.
The course will take place in Menorca, Spain for the first time. In 2027, we offer two levels, Foundation and Expert, which allows you to discover type design, or to gain expertise after an initial training.
